Woodsia
The genus Woodsia, or cliff ferns, contains about 35 species, most of which occur in the northern temperate regions, along with high elevations in the tropics.
Members of the genus are found throughout North America, being widespread in Mexico and present in every state of the contiguous United States, throughout all of Canada, and also Alaska. Three species of Woodsia are endemic to California: Woodsia oregana, Woodsia plummerae, and Woodsia scopulina.
