Family: Dicksoniaceae.

Distribution: Endemic to Mexico (Chiapas, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Puebla, Veracruz), Central America (except for Belize), and South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela).

Height: 10 meters (33 feet).

Frond length: 3 meters (10 feet).
