Cyathea australis
Common name: Rough Tree Fern.
Synonyms: Alsophila australis, Alsophila loddigesii, Cyathea loddigesii.
Family: Cyatheaceae.
Distribution: Endemic to Australia (southeastern Queensland, New South Wales, southern Victoria, and Tasmania). The population of Norfolk Island is generally considered to be a sub-species, Cyathea australis ssp. norfolkensis.
Height: 12 meters (40 feet).
Frond length: 4 meters (13 feet).
