Astrolepis
Astrolepis, or cloakferns, is a genus comprising of five species, all of which are endemic to Mexico. Astrolepis inhabits relatively dry regions and extends from Argentina to the southern United States, as well as Hispaniola. Four species are endemic to the United States, with a single species, Astrolepis cochisensis, found in the State of California.
