Aspidotis
Aspidotis, or Laceferns, consists of around five to six species of small ferns which are typically found growing in dry, rocky areas.
Three species are endemic to California: Aspidotis californica, which is also found in Baja California, Mexico, Aspidotis carlotta-halliae, which is only found in the State of California, and Aspidotis densa, which is also found elsewhere in the western United States and Canada.
